A Gap Year Abroad provides a break from the day-to-day and the normal routines of life. A Gap Year Abroad is unique in that, unlike a week-long vacation, it may only happen once in a lifetime and can last from a few weeks or months up to an entire year or more.
Those who participate in a Gap Year Abroad differ in age, culture, profession and time of life. But they all share an attitude that crosses these borders: a desire to grow as a person, to give back, to retreat & reflect, to seek greater depth in life, and to reconnect with the world. Whether a student taking a break after high school or completing an undergraduate degree, a professional taking a sabbatical or a retiree seeking more than a winter break down south, Gap Year Abroad participants all share a sense of discovery and adventure.
